Snow entering through roof soffit?

I just found a large amount of snow in my attic around the peak of my roof near the soffit. The house is 1.5 years old and my builder tells me that this must be the cause of wind. Is it possible to have buckets of snow entering through a roofs soffit. I realize there are perforations in the soffit for ventilation, but it’s hard to believe large amounts of snow are entering through these???

Not normal at all. But we need more information or pictures of the attic and exterior to be able to help.

Sounds like a possible case of mixed ventilation…

This does not make sense. You must be explaining this wrong.

You do not have snow coming in thru the soffit. If the ridge vent is not installed properly snow will come in under the right surcumstances.
