I recently hired someone to fix a leak where water was coming in around my chimney, and visible in a closet that houses the chimney. He used several tubes of this product from Lowes: Fibered Waterproofer Cement Roof Sealant. This is not providing a good seal. We’ve had about 24 hours of constant rain and the chimney is very wet again. Is there a product that will provide a better seal? I didn’t much care for the idea of something in a caulk-sized tube and wonder what will spread better, cover a larger area and hold the seal until I can afford to replace my roof. Thanks for any ideas.
Most likely for a permanent solution the flashibg will need to be fixed, not mucked. Do you have any pictures?
