Roofers, what is your installation method and why and does anyone know the price difference? TIA!

at eaves: drip edge 1st, felt paper 2nd, pre-trimmed starter course 3rd. All nailed. Overlap at drip edge not nailed togther to allow for movement. No cement.

Only place I know of anyone cementing the edge is Florida where it is required by code.

All underlayment first.
Then all evedrip.
Cement all edges. Especially at bottom.
Simple and highest wind resistance.
Highest chance of bottom edge NOT rotting out.

Yes, how we do it in florida.

Oh yeah, all shingles are Even with drip edge all the way around.
No shingles hanging over everywhere
And you can set up your ladder anywhere on the house without beating up the shingles on the edges.
