my hood, just to the north of me, was hit by a tornado that stayed on the ground for 70 miles.
i will be surveyin the damage today.
i allready see standin seam on the ground.

i plan to see the 5 v crimp roofs still intack like allways.

shingles, tile, standin seam, everything but 5 v crimp blows off
in 150 mph.
period.

well,
couldnt see to much this time.
the police were keepin people out.
i did get into a few of the hard hit neighborhoods and foun the usuall.
metal roofs seam to fair the best.
demensionals did a little better than three tab
heres a couple of roofs that were next door to each other.
the blue one was a pbr 5 rib, exsposed screws,
there was no damage.
the white roof was an aluminum 1 ft wide standin seam over shingles.
it did not fair as well

Funny thing about tornadoes is that they can destroy structure A, and identical structure B, ten feet from it can get out without a scratch.

yeah well this wasnt the case.
theese to houses received the same amount punishment.
structer b simply had a better roof.
aluminum does not work well in florida for a roof.
to soft a metal and it gets snacthed rite off.
the same goes for standing seam roofs that are fastened on one side
of the panel. blow rite off.

gweedo.
