Subcontracting prices

#1

Hi I’m another one just starting out on my own. I am in NY and still taking subcontracting work from the contractor I have worked for for many years. I was given a list of what he pays subcontractors for installation of shingles, metal, cedar shakes, tear off ect. I wanted suggestions of how much more I should charge when doing a job on my own. Example if he pays me 100 to install standing seam metal, when I get my own contract should I charge 150?

Wow, somebodys spoiled around here!!! LOL, don’t know anything about steel roofing but someday may have to learn how, who knows.

1,500 a square for steel roofing, that include materials right?

I thought charging $1K a square for new flat roofing was spendy.

“Mexiroofer”, that user name’s something else.
