Marshall exteriors

#1

first off, thanks for answering some of my questions.
this is my last insulation question/
1)do BOTH interior insulation(between studs in walls) and siding insulation both have “R values”?
2)IS ATTIC INSULATION THE SAME AS THE INSULATION IN WALLS BETWEEN STUDS?
3)lastly,a silly question, how come attics always have nails sticking out of the ceiling?
thanks marshall,i truely appreciate you taking time to answer my questions.

  1. yes every thing has an r-value (to some degree). depending on what product you use it will make your r value different.

  2. sometimes yes, sometimes no.

3.the nails sticking out of the attic ceiling are the nails holding the shingles on the roof. (thats the best question i have ever answered on this site, anyone care to disagree with me?)
