Help with shingling odd roof size

#1

Roof is 147 3/4 " wide.
How would we layout 36" shingles so it comes out uniform without small pieces at ends of drip edge?

Thanks for any help.

Find the center mark, go three inches either side of center, snap vetical lines six inches apart , use these for you offsets, and dutchlap both ends.

well every 3 ft on your tape measure is where the end of the shingle is goin to be, so just move it one way or the other, when makin your water course lines, ( the ones that go vertically up the roof), so the shingle edge doesnt land on your roof edge.

or you can do like me and not worry about it.
just run the shingles off the left rake ( right rake for left handers), and run the shingles over and cut them off at the other edge.
if its a little peace thats left, well then theres a little peace thats left.

A roof that long, you better use G-Tape, or you will be sorry. There will be so many waves on that thing you will need to take Dramamine if you go ont he roof.

Make it easy on yourself, spend a few more dollars and buy dimensional shingles.

You other guy’s are so mean.

actually your probably only looking at another 2-300 bucks for architectural shingles (if that)
