Maybe it was a bit too steep & he didn’t have fall protection? Or it was easily walkable but he had an accident?

Put away the conspiracy theory Mel Gibson, it was just an unfortunate accident to a rich guy who still acted like the regular Joe worker, just with more toys.

He was taken to a hospital in Beloit, Wisconsin, and then transferred to Rockford Memorial Hospital in Winnebago County, Illinois, where he was pronounced dead, the Associated Press said.

He fell from the ceiling of the garage, between the joists, and fell to the ground,'' Knudson said.My understanding is that he was inspecting above the ceiling. This appears to be a very tragic accident.’’

Hendricks, who learned the roofer’s trade working alongside his father, was ranked 91st on Forbes Magazine’s 2007 list of the richest people in the U.S. with a net worth of $3.5 billion.
