EBTM for a roof/terrace?

#1

Hi All,

Has any one use EBTM for a terrace (with “traffic/deck use”) roof before? Is this material good/advisable for this type of roof?

Any comments would be very appreciated.

Do you mean “EPDM” aka rubber?

If so, yes it works very good for that application, if covered by pavers, a deck, or something else to protect the membrane.

Thx! Would placing an outdoor carpet on top of it be enough to protect the membrane for normal deck-traffic?

Granulated torch applied modified would be better if you just want to throw outdoor carpet over it.

no, outdoor carpet would not suffice in either situation,

Build a floating deck or lay some pavers. If you wanted to get REALLY cheapo, then maybe some spaghetti mat, but that wont really guarantee the safety of your roofing.

spaghetti mat will bond(stick) into a modified roof as it has the same polimers in it.

I thought it just melted on into it. I have pulled them up with the spaghetti marks in the mod like spaghetti in a bowl of hardened butter outta the fridge.

Im hungry.
